Under front seats, perfect spot for my amps....

I decided on a whim to remove my underseat subwoofer enclosures and see if my amplifiers would fit under the front seats instead. I got a sponsorship from Elevation Audio, so I was getting rid of the 8"s under the seat for a single 15" Execution in the back. Right now the sub is just in a prefab box until I figure out how I want the install to go with it. But I was amazed to see that under the seat was an absolute perfect fit for my Elevation Audio amplifiers!

The Elevation Audio DX200.2 under the driver seat :

The Elevation Audio DX1000.1 under the passenger seat, along with the distribution block :

The 15" Execution in the rear. This subwoofer is absolutely ridiculous!

The fit of the amplifiers was incredible. It was a perfect snug fit, there is no way the amplifiers could even slide around, absolute perfect fit. Out of site, and lots of room to breathe!

Nice. I've always worried about putting stuff on ground level since there's always the chance of someone else (or myself) dropping a soda or other liquid and... you get the idea. It looks good, though with your set up since it looks like your sub box is a little bit too big to have something strapped on the back of it. I've got my amp drilled into the back of my sub box and I haven't had much problem with it at all.

Looks nice, I did something like that with mine with my amp under the passenger seat in my xB1.

I made an "amp rack" out of plywood which fits snugly in the recessed area under the seat and carpeted it, I also made a trim piece to go on the end of it to protect the amp and cables from getting kicked by my kids.

Here it is with the Hello Kitty floor mat as a finishing touch with the seat back you wouldn't even know it's there.

I havent had my type R's for long, but I will say they sound awesome and have great mid bass. I imagine it will get even better when I put in some sound deadener behind them. I put all type R in my wifes car and liked the mids and highs so much I put them in my car too.
I really liked the way the type R woofer sounded too, but it only lasted a few months before my wife tore the cone from the voice coil.. Too Short was just a bit too much for it.. lol I hope the same doesnt happen to the door speakers.....
