Are there any aftermarket tweeters that fit?

Has anyone identified aftermarket tweeters that fit in the OE locations? I haven't removed the "A" pillar panels (not sure how) and don't know what the OE tweeter dimensions and cone diameter are. If anyone has that info, I'd be interested in learning it.

Thanks!

2nd Gen: 2008 Scion xB

I came across this info, but don't know if it's correct:

1.0" tweeter
mounting depth: 0.75"
diameter: 2"

there's a pretty good amount of room behind it. i havent installed new speakers yet, but i have taken off the a-pillar piece and its pretty open, especially if you cut out the plastic grill piece

Re: Are there any aftermarket tweeters that fit?

Thanks for your input, Dude ! I found that after attacking all four doors with damping material, the OE tweeters were actually fine. No need to fritz with their crossover frequency. The problem I was hearing was due to panel resonances !

Re: Are there any aftermarket tweeters that fit?

Just to let you know...

I bought alpine component speakers before determining the size of the tweeter. The alpine 6.5 components come with a 2 inch tweeter. It doesnt fit flushly, but I made it fit behind the cover and they sound fine without being flush. One day Ill get in there and figure a way to flush mount them.....maybe.

Re: Are there any aftermarket tweeters that fit?

i have an 08 xb2 and just installed amp and front door components the alpine type R the better set and the best alpine type r two ways in the back door and the front door speakers are a breeze just disassemble your factory tweeter it just unclips from the panel and disassemble the new tweeter and it will pop or clip right into the factory mount

Re: Are there any aftermarket tweeters that fit?

just twist the tweeter grill on the alpine and it will come right off then it will look like the factory tweeter and just pop it in the factory mounting location like factory looks factory sounds great
