are there rca jacks on the back of the pioneer premium sound system that comes from the factory to hook up an amp to ?

Well my stock Pioneer head unit that came with my 08 xB was very nice but did NOT have the RCA jack outputs. I guess there is a premium Pioneer, that was better than my Pioneer. Mine was quite nice tho....

if you can trust what is said here on the broads.. just take out the head unit and look... only 4 10mm bolts.. and if you have the head unite with the fancy lcd.. Than yes you have RCA outputs for amps..

I have the premium radio on the 2nd gen xb. I was told at the dealership that I am able to hook up an amp to that stereo. Does anyone happen to have any information on doing this? I am currently trying to hook up an amp and 2 subs. I have all the wires ran and installed to my knowledge. However the amp isn't turning on. Anyone happen to have any help on this?

I basically have no way to turn on and off the amp. I need a wiring diagram of the stereo.

you need to run a remote wire to tell your amps to turn on. on the navi unit its a grey wire i belive, any switched 12 volt source will work, assuming you ran your +12 volt from your battery and such.

i have the premium pioneer with the screen with all the scrolling designs , so that means if i put a box in, i would be able to plug the amp right into the back of the unit? sorry, new to all this.

I have an 08 XB and looking to get a premium HU. Does anyone know if the 06 would work...meaning steering controls and ipod/aux jacks and all that? I need to know for sure before purchasing. Or does it have to be an 08 and up?
