Trust me, the last thing I wanted to do was offer a VSi enclosure that required removing the spare. |

| Re: some new custom-fit sub enclosures! That's what friends are for to bring a spare to you. Spare tires are not needed. Audio is more important. I will vouch for eD as they are amazing also. |

there's always AAA as well
car audio is definitely more important than something i may use one time in 3 or 4 years |

| Re: some new custom-fit sub enclosures! I've been without a spare for almost 5 years in my truck, and I've never needed it. BUT...I'm getting ready to sell the truck and buy an xB because my wife and I are starting a family. I would not want to be out somewhere with a baby, have a flat, and be stranded until someone can bring me the spare. |

I've been writing e-mails back and forth with them.
How heavy duty is the box?
What Sub are you planning on using?
Have you tried a dry fit? How well does it really fit?
If you are already using it, how well is it working for you?
Doest it interfer at all with the back?
Thx in advance for your input.

| Re: some new custom-fit sub enclosures! still waiting for it to arrive ... from what i gather they make it to order ... and cover it when you buy it .. got the tracking number the other day so still prob have about 6 ro 10 days for it to arrive ..
will be dry fitting it and such once it comes in ...
then will order a sub ... thing about an eD ... but may go with an image dynamics or another brand .. only going to be putting about 200 watts to it ...
doesn't look like it interfiers ... but that is one thing i will be checking before i do anything else with it .. if it does .. will sell it off and go ahead and build one myself ... |

Bill | just got the box in, it is very heavy duty, not some thin walled stuff ... i would say around 1/2 an inch thick in most places ...
fit is nice, did a dry fit and it fits snugly ... comes with mounting hardware so y ou can still use the bottom eye ring ...
you do have to drill one hole in the trim panel behind it (2 depending on how you run your speaker wire) which has a bolt that runs from the body, through the trim panel and into the box ...
once mounted i can see it being nice and solid ...
don't have my sub for it yet, will prob get it in the next few weeks to a month ...
i went with black carpet on mine, but i may recover it later with something else ... |
