Re: Security & Remote Start Suggestions Please

I've been calling around and the cheapest I can find the Viper 5701 installed is like $480 from a local guy. I was going to buy 1 off of ebay but like 3 car places I called said they won't install them for me unless they are bought from VIPER .

I have been a MECP certifed installer for more than a decade and i wouldnt use anything that wasnt made by Directed Electronics Inc. Window automation is simple withe the correct interface. DEI make one that will just roll up or do both. As for the two alarms having the same.....i have yet to see it. Just put a Viper 5901 in my xb2....standard

I use the Zenesis Alarms in mine. I have a stick and have no issues at all. Since when you get out of the car, it stays running till the last door closes. So if the car is in gear and you let out the clutch it kills it. Keeps it from starting in gear later. Built in turbo timer and alot of other cool features. The alarm also has a thing called the Z Pass. It is a multi touch button pad that goes on the inside of the windshield. You put in the code you preset and it will unlock the doors for you. It is a awesome feature for sure.
