| Re: my little sound system With those kick panel speakers installed what did you do with the door speakers? Looks like a nice setup.
Also do you hit the drivers side one with your foot when trying to use the dead pedal?

| Re: my little sound system The speakers that I have are a Three way setup. The speakers in the kick panel are only the tweeters and the mids...the 8" mid bass drivers are in the stock woofer location in the doors. I have full access to the dead pedal!...they do not get in the way of my feet and I wear a size 13! sometimes I worry when my girlfriend wears high heels but she has never hit the drivers. Just to make the kick panels a little bit more durable, I put suede on them so I don't get scuff marks on them. They are also black so i don't get any stains as well. |

| Re: my little sound system they were custom made...took about 2 days to make them...first day, he made me sit in the front seat and played the speakers at different angles. then when i told him that i liked certain positions, he made the kicks to those specs. after that fiberglass....let the fiberglass dry another layer...couple of more and then suede or vinyl...velvet..whatever you want....
oh, did my friend hook you up with the JL subs? Quote:

| Re: my little sound system no he is not the person that did the kicks...F1 audio/video did my kicks....I get all my JL stuff from Ray though
the kicks were not cheap....cost me about 500 bucks! finished though...positioning, fiberglassing, sanding, mdf rings for the speakers, new kick panels from toyota, leather!

| Re: my little sound system yup...just the kicks....my speakers alone were a little over $1550!....damn cali tax is almost 10% @ 9.25%...the dynaudio speakers are hard to find dealers for and all the dealers would not discount...but i don't mind, they sound really superb! I am sure and know there are probably better drivers and speakers out there but......I have been a fan of dynaudios for homes for the longest time..... |
