Cool! Where'd you get it? I'm in Bakersfield, getting ready to pick up an xB2, and am seriously considering getting the DNX8120.

Re: Kenwood DNX-8120

I got it online, forgot the website. I installed it using the Metra kits 95-8202 and 70-1761 then bought the Ipod cable.

Where are you going to buy your xb2 at? North Toyota has way nicer people than the other one.

Cool. I've talked them at North Bako, but I'm not happy with their offer for my trade in. I haven't decided yet what to do.

Did you leave in the stock speakers? If not, what did you go with? Sub?

Re: Kenwood DNX-8120

Haven't decided what I want to do for subs yet or door speakers. Just taking it piece by piece. The stock speakers do sound alot better than they did with the stock deck.

The scion sells guy at Bill Wright Toyota are dicks. I tell everyone to go to North Toyota now.

This is were I mounted the bluetooth mic. Everyone can hear me clearly and I have only had a couple of people say it sounds like I am using speaker phone. I also mounted the Ipod cable into the glove box.

It has built-in bluetooth along with built-in Ipod controller just need to run the mic and the Ipod cable. No need to hide extra boxes.

Re: Kenwood DNX-8120

Ok why does the Kenwood site not list the 8120? They have the 7120 but not an 8120.

How much are these things? I want nav and Bluetooth...and of course keep my iPod connection.

On the iPod bit. I see a lot of people using the cables and hiding them in places like the glovebox...which is fine, but our xBs come with that nice hook up. Anyone spliced into that line to give a factory look?

Re: Kenwood DNX-8120

Retail on it is around $1,600 on Crutchfield.
Kenwood Excelon DNX8120 Navigation receiver at Crutchfield.com

The navigation is hard drive with usb port in the back to update it and bluetooth is built in just run the mic.

I bet you could slice the cable and run it to the factory one but that would be alot of work. I like mine in the glove box its hidden unlike with the factory cable. I am still meaning to remove the factory Ipod and AUX hook ups and place a blank plate there.

Re: Kenwood DNX-8120

Looking at the iPod cable...why does it need the 2 inputs as wel as the USB? Got any idea what they do?

It has the USB to control the Ipod then the other two inputs are for video and audio.

If you buy the steering wheel adapter from PAC it will work but I didn't. I never use my steering wheel controls.

Re: Kenwood DNX-8120

I am about to pick up an XB and have been looking into setups like this. I stumbled across this deal today for a 7120:
"Kenwood DNX7120 6.95" All-in-One Navigation/DVD/USB/iPod Control Receiver for $1298 - coupon code AFLKEN846 = $846 with free shipping. Features a built-in Garmin GPS Navigation system, Voice guidance with Text to Speech, XM Life Traffic and Weather Ready, Bluetooth ready, iPod controls and more"

Link ( I can''t post links cause I am new: replace spaces with . in URL below):
www 6ave com/shop/Product.aspx?sku=KENDNX7120

To get the $846, you need to add the coupon code above

Kenwood doesn't warranty anything sold by them. But I haven't had any problems with mine.
