HU, yes it has sub outputs, and I hooked up a Soundstream Picaso series amp and 1 infinity perfect 10 sub and I am more than happy with the sound. I had to get a noise isolater(hooks up to the RCAs-$16) to cancel the alternator whine. But from what I am told about the whine is that you have to run your power and RCAs away from each other. |

If you get a chance could you post up the model numbers of all the parts you put in? I would like to check out and maybe mimic your system, if you don't mind. |

| Re: dash kit for 08 Okay I've been looking around since buying my XB and supposedly the same kit for the other scions would work. I got one to install my Alpine but none of the side mounting points would line up. The 95-8202 double din kit works because you are using the factory brackets, and it's only to fill the gaps on the side. The 99-8209 however, that works on the XA, prev gen XB and TC doesn't work. At least the one I got didn't, made a quick call to Metra this morning and the newest version of the 99-8209 does come with the correct brackets to work in the XB2 and the new XD as well. We have some coming in tomorrow, I will check to verify and let everyone know. |

Do you happen to know if the pac sw unit will work along with the xb2 as well? Im getting all my avic stuff (wheel controls,bt, navi) transplanted from my old 07 Camry SE to my new xb2 and my installers are not 100% that the kits they have will work with the xb2. Im hoping it will work though.

| Re: dash kit for 08 Arggh! We got some of those kits in, new install guides that show the new set of brackets for the 08 Xb but they left the brackets out of the kits. I called Metra first thing and they are sending me brackets out tomorrow. Maybe I'll have them by friday. Been itching to get my Alpine installed for a couple weeks now. |

I had my z2 successfully transplanted today. I'll post up pics here in just a sec.
And as promised...
I still need to update the background with a new xB background Im working on. But thats the TRD one I had for my SE. Kinda cool. Not sure what metra kit he ended up using, but it looks like it worked out. Had an issue figuring out which purple wire was the vss wire, but got that taken care of fairly quick. Sure glad to have my GPS back though. Along with my HD full of songs.
Heres my new startup background I just got done doing. I used a bg that someone posted on avic411 then added some of my own stuff to it. Kinda pimp, if I do say so myself... lol.

| Re: dash kit for 08 The kit for the double din is the same as always. The 95-8202. Reason being, you use the factory brackets with that kit. It's mainly there to take up the gaps on the sides. So it hasn't changed. Looks good Brandon! |

The only thing that kit did was fill those little .5 inch gaps on either side of the unit.
Thanks man. |

| Re: dash kit for 08 FINALLY! I put the radio in this weekend just using the factory brackets to get it in. Of course there was a hole in the dash around it. I got the brackets in from Metra today and they are a perfect fit. Went home and got my Alpine permanently installed. At least until I sell it and buy a double din touchscreen If anyone needs a single din kit I'll be putting some on ebay with matching wiring harness. You can also pm me here, thanks! I'll get a couple pics up tomorrow just so you guys can see the fit of the kit. |

| Re: dash kit for 08 This is how a REAL install should look in an '08 xB. As you can tell from the above pictures, the kit that you use to put in radios looks like crap. The kit doesn't line up well and the gaps are all off. Take it to an installer and have him mold in the kit. Mine isn't finished but you get the idea of what it can look like. |

| Re: dash kit for 08 Well, I work at a custom shop so they did it for free but if I were to charge someone it would probably run about $150 with material to do something like that. That would be painted black; if you wanted it done in anything different than that, the price would go up accordingly |

| Re: dash kit for 08 Yea I'm still looking for a nice dash kit... I found a ghetto single DIN to put in my alpine from a previous car but I'm looking to expand to a double DIN screen setup. Anyone know how I can rid of my Pioneer Premium quickly or how much they go for?
I don't know if this is even an option, but I was thinking about doing a 7" touchscreen VGA screen for a PC in the dash, but then mount a single DIN under the gearbox. Has anybody ever tried something like this? |
