Re: Bigger is Better

What I said was that the window does not roll all the way down to the speaker location. So you are wide open there. The window DOES roll all the way down with my 8's in there. Guess I should have been alittle more clear.

can 8's fit in the rear doors without any problems with the window all the way down?

No, the 8's do not fit in the rear doors. The rear door brace goes right through where the speakers are. I have tryed it.

Re: Bigger is Better

I'm working on getting some 6.5's in the back. They have huge ass magnets so I'm having to cut out the stock opening just to get them in. I'll post some pics as soon as my post is high enough.

Re: Bigger is Better

Do you have any pictures?

I got the speakers in and they sound much better than the stock speakers even without the amp. I'll be putting the amp in this weekend.

And posting some pictures as soon as my post count is high enough.

Pictures of the speakers in the rear doors?

I am not sure if I do or not. I need to pull the rear doors off again one of these days so I can get you some pics when I do.

Re: Bigger is Better

i no this isnt my thread and i no ur not asking me so take it or leave it lol but do not go rockford for bass they do not stand up that well. if you want somthing clean and clear but not to loud go kicker like a l5 with a box built to spec with some hifonics speakers if you want somthing loud and clear like im doing go with some power acoustik mofo subs or hifonics olympus subs with a ported box built to spec tuned to roughly 35 hurts. but thats just me i no orion is pretty good and alpine there typ r and typ x are pretty loud and if in a correct box pretty clean to.

Re: Bigger is Better

I didn't even know they had 8" mids... huh. I knew they had 8" subs but not mids, I guess you learn something new everyday.

Power Acoustic Mofo. . . I looked at those a few years back and I thought those were like some over rated and under powered. I say that cause I bought an amp from power acoustic that claimed 1000w RMS and when tested at an audio shop they said it pushing about 650 RMS. . . But, it sounded pretty decent with my Digital Designs 9500 sub.
