08 stock radio question


ok which wire do i need to hook my sub up to so it will power on when i turn the radio on?

There should be two clips on the back of the stock Pioneer head unit, well at least the clips that control power and send sound to speakers for that matter. One clip is slightly larger than the one next to it. You need to tie the Amps remote wire (blue) into the (gray) wire on the larger clip. The Gray wire is between the (pink) and (Blue with Yellow Stripe) It is for +12v ignition and only supplies power when you ignition is turned on. I wired mine like this, I have NO popping, and it has worked perfect ever since I owned my new 08Xb. If you are still wondering if you have the right wire, get a light tester, pull the clip and stick the probe from the light tester in the hole where the gray wire is. The light should be off signaling no power. Once you turn you ignition key to on, the light bulb should light up.

I guarantee it will work.
