I've done it....pretty simple if you follow the instructions in the stereo manual. Even made my own custom ones.

Re: pioneer OEL screensaver program

Ok. Maybe someone can help with this as I am having the same issue and am going nutzoid!! lol. I have created my own as well as downloaded ready made files from pioneer. I create the files, then using the software create the LKA file, then burn the CD-R. The Burn is successful then I initiate the download in my stereo, it uploads and says successful, so everything seems cool. So when I turn on teh stereo after the successful download into teh car, its the same old skin (some circular lines), that is it.

So everything seems to work except the finale which is to see teh display change. Any hints???? I am clueless. I have burned through about 10 CD's so far only putting 1 file on each.

They are Corner Office brand from Walgreens and say CD-R Music. But also say multi-purpose. Again, the files create fine, burn fine, and upload into the stereo fine, and whethere it is my creation or right from pioneers site, the default background stays there.

Is it supposed to happen automatically after you upload, or do you select the new skin somewhere in the menu since I can't find that if thats the case. I have my scion for 3 days now and am frustrated. thanks for the help!!

Its not automatic you have to change it in the menu.
I believe you turn the stereo off, with accessories switched on, and hold down the menu button until the options come on. I can't check right now but give that a shot.

In the menu?? Where at? I can't find anything in the menu about the animations. Nor does the stereo's owners manual mention anything about selecting from a menu. What you can do in the is custom create a welcome message. But I am talking about the animated background.

again thanks for any help in getting me going.

OK I went down and checked. Turn on the radio and hold down menu. Choose the entertainment option and your new backgrounds should show up in there. Just rotate the knob.

Exclamation Re: pioneer OEL screensaver program

ight guys. i make the idividual lkds and then trun them into the LKA file proced to burn the info on a disc(i think this is where my problem lies because i have everything else corect.) bring up the download screen and insert the disc and it gives me an error every time. when you make the lka do you need to name it something certain? or do you have to put it into a certain named extra file on the disc? what im doing is just putting the lka straight on the disc. any1 have an idea?
