Melted Headlight Housing Help Please

so recently on a road trip back from school one of my HID bulbs popped out and melted the housing in my headlight. now i can keep the the bulb in there but it wont lock in and constantly pops out. i took it to my local mechanic and he says i should just try and scrape out the melted part so it can lock in.....but i dont know how to take the headlight out.....any suggestions would be appreciated THANKS.

In order to take the headlight out you need to take the front bumper off. If you go to grillcraft.com ( i would post the link but im a new-b here so it wont let me) and go under scion, then xb, then MX grill, then in the upper left next to the picture it will read "3 piece lower kit" click on that then click on instructions. It will show you how to remove the bumper, very detailed and lots of pics. After that, its only three or four bolts to remove each headlight. Good luck
