Re: Have you changed your AC Control Lights?

Swapped the old neo wedge bulbs for the ones that are 30% brighter and it is a noticeable difference. They have a smaller brighter led, I highly recommend them.

[quote=therhino;360313]Yes you can.

I changed mine out...this was an amazing tutorial. I also changed out my 'Mode' button LED in the Steering wheel:

I swapped my HVAC for the 30% brighter too and i love it. Did you do the center button too? Not sure how to change that one. But everything else looks great! I highly recomment the autoillumination...easy plug and go....and much brighter!

I think they are just regular 3 mm leds. I took one gauge apart to check it out and had such a difficult time putting it back together that I just left them alone.

Well yea you have to take that silver trim out. Sorry that I don't have pics, but I got that silver trim out. There is a post on newscionxb.com, a DIY very well ilustrated on how to take off that silver trim. Once I find it I'll let you know. What that post doesn't say is that once you got the A/C trim out of the dash, there are 3 electrical plugs you need to remove, DO NOT REMOVE THE CABLE FROM THE KNOB. there are 2 cables on each know. Remember how the knobs were when you install them back. That cable thing comes out by using a small screwdriver and pressing the tabs on each side of the cable thing. Sorry I can't say the lights or anything since I don't know how to disassemble the rest.

Re: Have you changed your AC Control Lights?

did you take them back out and rotate them around? there was a post above stating that if the lights do not light up, rotate the bulb, they are polarized.. so if you have them reversed then they won't light up at all
