| 2nd gen switch & location for interior lighting Okay folks I am looking at adding some interior lighting from Oznium, under dash/seats/trunk etc. and I have a few questions.
1) I am looking for a switch to go into the empty ports like the one from Oznium but of course they do not fit the 2nd gen so the site says. Any idea on where to get an appropriate switch?
2) my next thought was since I don't use the AUX & iPod connection port, replaced stock radio so those plugs are uselss, that maybe I should put the switch there. And ideas on a switch that would fit there and would this be an appropriate place?
3) last but not least any suggestions on any other sites for inerior lighting? I have looked at randoe.com, still thinking about this one; ledunderbody.com, they have a multi-color that randoe and oznium dont have, I think, but for some reason I got that they arent that good feeling from them.
Any thoughts, suggestions etc. is very much appreciated. |

| Re: 2nd gen switch & location for interior lighting I am thinking about doing the same thing with the with the rocker switch from ledunderbody in the ipod area, because mine are useless as well. My only issue is getting the whole thing apart, i have no idea how to actually get access to that poart and get the connections out. I ordered my led bars from ledunderbody, they seem pretty legit, but i havent installed them, someone on clubxb recommended them to me, and they look and seem like they will work great. However, you can get a colored rocker switch from radioshack or autozone no problem if you dont feel like ordering itonline. |

| Re: 2nd gen switch & location for interior lighting you can order a rocker switch from randode.com. you can even buy one that lights up from his website. I did the same thing but put the switch to the left of the steering wheel.
and as far a lighting i got mine from randode.com it came with everything and all the right lengths of wire already. all you have to do is run the wires under the center console and under dash. the lights are pretty bright too. |

| Re: 2nd gen switch & location for interior lighting thanks y'all, I guess I was hoping for a switch to fit into the left of the steering wheel to make it more stock looking but since my car just got broken into I don't really care all that much any more. I ordered from Oznium and it arrived today so I will get a switch from radio shack/frys/auto zone and see what happens. Thank you very much for your input I appreciate it. |

I am going to give it a try this weekend and if all goes as plan I will post some info for you on Monday. |

| Re: 2nd gen switch & location for interior lighting I am interested in the interior lighting system. How much money do you save going the aftermarket route compared to the one offered by scion? i believe the one offerd by them is like 339 or something. Does anyone have any pics of their interior lighting?
thanks! |

| Re: 2nd gen switch & location for interior lighting I'm actually in the middle of the same scenario. I ordered orizum bars for under my dash and for the back seat, but having a problem finding the rocker switch that fits the 2nd gen. I'm going to radioshack today and too see what I can come up with. I'm guessing I have to drill a hole in the blank piece and improvise. |

| Re: 2nd gen switch & location for interior lighting Wow guys- feeling really lost here! I just bought the interior under dash and cup holder lights from Scion directly. It came with NO directions at all! My origional car salesperson told me if I bought my XB without the lights they were "simple plug in lights!" that I can add later. hmm- he lied. And I think he no longer works as a salesperson!
Does anyone have instructions for installing the factory under dash and cup holder lights?
Thanks! |

| Re: 2nd gen switch & location for interior lighting You should try trdsparks.com. They have a lot of pdfs on Scion parts if you go to the product page. |

I ended up just getting a plain switch and drilling a hole in the space filler in the dash. I still plan on getting the fancy switches and moving them to the center console but I will work that out, with help, when I get me some underbody kit. |

Oznium also has the best customer service around.
