| Re: xB2 factory tint?... 35% will match the back factory tint. If your asking max tint in the back it can be as dark as you want. |

| Re: xB2 factory tint?... I wanted 5% all around. What the shop did was put 5% in the front and put 20% on the back and the car looks great. Can'ttell the difference. |

| Re: xB2 factory tint?... I'm considering adding tint to my front side windows especially because the visor is useless. Would love recommendations from you pros out there as to what degree of tint you'd do. I mostly want to block the sun that shines in on the sides while I'm driving. |

If not 35% matches the stock back shade of tint almost perfect but the color is going to be off. Ones tinted glass and ones a tint film. Besure to get quality tint like 3M it will last longer and look better. 35% won't block all the light out but it won't be glaring and night time and bad weather driving you'll still be able to see out the sides. 20% would block more light during the day but it sucks driving at night or in bad weather with. |

From what I have seen in person 35% matches better than 20% tint but that all depends on the tint manufacture. 20% seemed darker than the back.
What kind of ceramic tint did you go with on the front? Its that very light tint that blocks out most of the uv and heat. |

| Re: xB2 factory tint?... sorry for the confusion. not sure what kind it is. yes it is light enough that you cant tell that my windshield is tinted and the guy that did it for me said it is supposed to block a lot of the heat and sun |

OTOH, I still think it's safe to say that anyone's vision is significantly reduced when you block out 85%+ of VLT. It's kind of like wearing dark sunglasses at night. If you think you can still see well enough, that's your choice. Personally I wish I had insisted on 35% instead of letting the tint shop talk me into 20%. Even 35% film tint is illegal in most states. | What is 'VLT'? |

It seems that doing 50% on the front window is most common and I am considering that too. If I were to try to match the tint colors between front and back, what percent would you add to the back? I did 20% on all the back windows and 35% upfront. The color is the same but the backs are darker than the front. Its not a huge difference but its noticeable to an extent. It seems like keeping the back darker than the front draws less attention from the police. |
