xB Seats

Ok, So I think the choice of seats used in our boxes are crap. They are unconfortable and provide no support, I pop outta my seat every time I take a "sharp" turn and Im constantly readjusting myself.. I was wondering if anyone else feels the same and is considering or already did switch out the seats. I dont care about the lose of the side air-bags, I figure its got enough left without em. I need some ideas about what seats would fit. Im currently looking at Acura seats but Id like some other input as well. Something with a higher seat preferably to also gain some more leg room.

Re: xB Seats

i agree BUT!!!!.... ok here is my story. I have a very bad back and i hated my oem seats untill i finally wore them in.... i have 47,000 miles and now i like em'... as far as what fits just measure the space from the door to the center devider and front of seat to rear of seat and how tall you want it and you can look online and see whats offered

bad news is alot of insurance companys will not accept the fact that you took out safty devises and they might drop you
and if something did happen(knock on wood) and the insurance comp found out you ditched the safty feature they might not pay for personal injery....

but thats just what i heard

same goes for steering wheels

Re: xB Seats

you want comfortable? i got some double plush 86 towncar seat in my garage you might have to ditch the center console to make them fit though, lol. i like my oem seats just fine. i like that they're firm. the soft seats in my towncar made my back and hips hurt. as for more leg room...how tall are you? im 6'1" and have plenty of room, i dont even have the seat all the way back (my daughters car seat sits behind me).

Iv got 20,000 on mine right now and they dont seem to be giving much. I was considering Clazzio covers or something similiar instead of seat swapping, maybe the padding would help? Idk... That sucks about the insurance issue.. Im gonna have to look further into that now before I make any decisions about rippen em out. Thanks for the heads up.

Im 6'1" as well, but I guess its all in my legs cuz my father has used my box and he is 6'4" and has no problem. Everyone is built different ya know.. I got my seats rolled all the way back n my legs are still scrunched up... Does anyone make higher brackets I could purchase that you know of?

Re: xB Seats
