Project Ninja Almost done

So I decided to paint all the peices that where silver in the car to a satin black. I want everything black or CF colored in there. I now think I am going to pull the A, B and C pillars and actually wrap them in the same material that the headliner is done in. Since I have not painted the B pillars anyway yet. I have to pull the cage to do that.

Re: Project Ninja Almost done

looks killer! the funny thing is that i just baught 2 cans of satin black for my interior. my trim is factory silver on the dash, and i painted the door pieces silver as well.

ive already painted my window visors satin black to match the exterior trim.

i cant wait to get started on my interior now that i see how good it will look.

Now here is the A and B pillars wrapped in CF vinyl now. The C pillars I am going to do some work to first.

Re: Project Ninja Almost done

I have been wanting to paint my silver pieces black for a while just haven't got around to doing it. What kind of paint did you use?

The headliner looks sick any other pictures of it?

Are those clear tweeters or lights in the headliner? Wheres your visors?

Re: Project Ninja Almost done

I used a paint called SEM. It is a interior plastic paint that you get from a actual paint store.

The headliner I have some pics of it. Let me see if I can find it.

The glue I use is called DAP. I buy it in 5 gallon containers. I use a paint spray gun to spray it.

Re: Project Ninja Almost done

Where did you get your CF vinyl from? I got 4 yards and planned to do some pieces in the car and including my headliner awhile back. But I can't do the headliner until I finish installing my sliding ragtop, since I have to cut the big hole in my headliner. Well the other day I picked up some 3M Super 77 spray. I tested out some on the CF vinyl and things but it would't hold the vinyl if I barely pulled on it. It seems the weave on my vinyl on the bottom soaks up too much and doesn't allow it to tack and glue. I've used this stuff on millions of things before and it's held excellent. I'm wondering if that DAP can be brushed on or purchased in smaller amounts. But maybe your CF vinyl is different and the 3M Spray would work just fine on yours depending the texture on the underside.

Do you spray both peices and let it dry and then put it together? That makes a huge difference, I spray the material and the panel and let them sit for about 5-10 and then put them together. Never had a peice come apart.
