Re: painted interior version 1.0

i havent done the whole dash yet. but the oval part around the radio comes off real easy. just grab it and pull.might be hard the first time but it gets easier i think ive taken mine off at least a dozen times.

Re: painted interior version 1.0

its looks SO sick. You have inspired me to do something similar to my dash pieces! I also have a similar 6x9 setup in my c-pillar but I have yet to cover them.

Cool Re: painted interior version 1.0

What prep work did you do on the door handle cups and window control armrest panels? Just primer? And did you clear coat? Is the silver a good match for the stock mat silver finish?

It sounds like others beside myself would like to know which brands of paint you used. It looks really good btw!

Re: painted interior version 1.0

i used krylon indoor/outdoor spray paint.
As for prep work i just washed the pieces and then roughed them up with sandpaper, then washed again to get dust off. Then i just did 3 or so coats of the color. Then i did 2-3 coat of clear coat to seal it and that makes it a little bit shinier.
I also did my mirror covers and the trim piece over the license plate a while ago and should be putting pictures up of that this week sometime, after i wash my car.

I'm in the middle of the same process...problem is this is my everyday car and once I figure out how to pull each part out, I've been driving around with pieces missing in my car. It's pretty funny actually! I'm painting my pieces red and white.
