Re: Gauge cluster led

Now I need to pick up a new gauge face. The amber on the gauges doesn't mix with the blue leds. (The are lit, I just couldn't get them to show up on my camera) Oh, and I swapped out all the warning leds to white, just don't have a pic yet.

Re: Gauge cluster led

Depending on what gauge faces you go with you might need to change the LEDs behind them to white. That's what I did on the second go around when I switched from blue to purple. Looks good though.

Yeah I ordered a gauge face from ledmod a few days ago. I'll post pics after I install it.

Re: Gauge cluster led

Here's the Job I did on the car I had before I got my XB

They were all a poopy green before I did em over.

Here's what I did to the xb. Still thinking about coming up with my own custom design for the face and maybe some clear needles if I can ever find any for a good price.

xtylerx, did you ever get your led's done?

Re: Gauge cluster led

I ended up doing them myself. It's actually a lot easier than it seems, just takes a little patience. I'm still waiting on my gauge face from LEDmod, he said 2-3 weeks for production and delivery.

Re: Gauge cluster led

looks nice after you do it huh? I was afraid to take off the surface led's out the first time i came across a tutorial. After that I was hooked lol. I like what they have at ledmods.com but its so expensive . Im sure you get what you pay for though which is OEM quality not some printed out gloss paper. Let us know how your transaction went when you get the product and POST PICS!! Take it easy.

Arrow Re: Gauge cluster led

Hey, Actually the tutorial I looked at was for another car (see my first pic)but still has the same principles on the xB. So I was able to do the odometer on the xb pretty easily. Here is a tutorial someone here did.

Hope this helps. Also it looks harder than it is but its not that serious. Just take your time and get the right tools.
