Re: DIY Dash

I'm new to the scion/modding world. I just picked up an 05 xb and the dash has some wear (not much) interesting in painting. Any tips for a new modder?

Re: DIY Dash

the shine effect can be created by
1. light sanding
2. painting a few coats
3. wet sand between coats
4. polish final coat with a buffer and clear coat and polish

seen a thread on some scion forum with a guy who did this to his gen2 but i cant find it. all in all he said he polished it until he died

found it on scionlife.com just do a search with some of these words to see his pictures which are totally sick.

Its a long process, when I first started to sand it I didnt know how much a pain in the arse it was going to be, almost to the point I was bummed I started it at all. I think it was well worth the trouble, but just be ready to spend ALOT of time sanding....

Re: DIY Dash

I will soon have most of my dash, the tweeter housings, door switch plates, and a few other items in blue carbon fiber. Will post pics as soon as it's done.
