| why does most people call the xB "toaster on wheels"? this might be off-topic, but oh well...
it kinda bothers me (not much) when someone (like my friends) tells me that i have a "toaster on wheels". i mean, does the GMC Safari/Chevy Astro got picked on when it first came out? the xB do have almost the same design as those vans. thats my thought of the night. what do you guys think? |

| Well if you have a TCM, then its a toaster. the color just makes it look like a toaster. If you gotta PW, then it looks like an ice cream truck. And all the other colors dont have nick names.
Ow and a white xA is an egg, or a panda. |

| no no no, if the xB got a chrome paint job (which is illegal btw) then it would look like a toaster, haha. |

I get that from people all the time, "toaster, fridge, rollin' brick"..... I don't feel a need to explain my reason for buying the xB, nor do I care what they call it.
But, you'll notice that all those who seem to hate it, or call it ugly are the most curious about them. Hmmm....... looks like they're the ones who are afraid to "step out of the box!" |

| I absolutely can't imagine why...
(The xB *is* rather 'toaster shaped' compared to most little cars in the US...) |

But a lot of people just don't understand the xB, they are so use to the "norm" and then Scion comes along and turns things around with the xB. You're gonna have a lot of haters and lovers of the xB. Look at me, I don't like MiniVans, I don't like them, but, to each his own, again. "I'm not a Soccer Mom, I'm a Scion Mom".
I can care less about what people call it or what they think it, to each his own, right??? Now I get more looks cuz of the graphix and the license plate and frame. I like to stand out and be different and well, it's working. LOL!!
**Tomas, thanks for the pix...too funny!! |
