do not think it will work for first gen cause your antenna is in the glass in your back window! Could be wrong but probably not on that one! You could get a dummy though! P.S. I used to have a Gen 1 Black cherry ! |

Got and installed mine today.
Not what I was expecting, easy to install, kinda cheap, but once it's on it looks like a $200 piece. | |

I don't notice any change in reception ability but I don't listen to terrestrial radio very much. There's too much good stuff on XM.  | |

Sorry for the late reply but I installed the shark fin and the reception is okay, its not bad but its not better than the stock.
Easy to install though and looks, in my opinion, much better than the stock.

Those do look nice but i'm concerned about the paint quality after a few years...does anyone know what process they use to paint? like coats/clearcoats? is it up to factory-like standards? | |

just get better headunits....with a better tuner...plus who listens to radio? anyone? I don't think i even had the shop install the antenna when they were replacing my headunit...i told them not to because they were going to charge me like 50 bucks for an adaptor or some b.s.! | |
