Question Best way to re-install rear badge?

What is the best way to re-install the rear badge? Last time I bought some auto trim tape but I didn't like how thick it was. Then I bought a Toyota badge and painted it. Now I am repainting it but I don't want to buy a new one. Thanks.

3M Body and Moulding Tape is what I Use. Never had an issue with the thickness... Which tape did you use??

1. The OP was done on my Black berry so sorry it is in the wrong section
2. I think that is what I used. I had a difficult time cutting it to shape and i thought it was too thick. I will probably try it again after i paint it.

Use the 3m adhesive trim and emblem glue.

Do you want it too? With some goo gone it will be gone but its strong enough for holding it there for a while.

It will come off for that then. Just make sure everything is clean before using the glue.

on the rear badge do you need to "scuff" it up a lil with some sand paper before you paint it or does it take the paint pretty well and look descent?

Re: Best way to re-install rear badge?

We used clear silicone with adhesive in it to mount the emblem back on. We put the back up camera in the "I" in scion and needed it to fit flush with the body. I wish we had known about the 3M trim glue tho...Oh well its on there with no issues.
