| Re: 08+ XB rear wiper delete plug or you can go to lowes or home depot and get you a sink plug from either the pluming section or for less go to the hardware area and find you a plug that's big enough to fill the hole. |

| Re: 08+ XB rear wiper delete plug I DO have respect for my scion, but I pride in doing things for myself, so I sorta get offended when you say it "cheapify" it. I'm not gonna take it to heart cause I know you're excited about your new mod.
I for one, DID go to Home Depot and picked up a metal plug, sprayed it, and clear coated. Spent about 10 bux in materials.
These are old pics I took when I got my new tip, so it might be hard to see the plug. Sorry |

| Re: 08+ XB rear wiper delete plug I went to Lowes and found a black plastic plug in the Hardware section for mine. Fit was PERFECT! I got 2 plugs in a bag for $1.99. just used a TON of silicone on the inside of the hatch to make sure NO water was gonna leak in. I'm not knocking donthateonthebox's plug! it look great! there are less expensive ways of doing things. and most of the time they look just as good. |

| Re: 08+ XB rear wiper delete plug I went to Home Depot myself because I wanted a 'flush' look to the plug so as to not stick out and be noticeable. We each have our own style and methodology for DIY but your comment was out of line ... Quote:

Just because an item came from Lowes or HD doesn't mean the mod is cheap. It's all about form vs. function. The piece does exactly what it's needed to do and as it is relatively cheap, that's a bonus.
Not hating on you cuz it's your car and not mine and any mod is a good mod, well almost any mod - see the why would anyone do that to their car thread. |

| Re: 08+ XB rear wiper delete plug Well I did the wiper delete today. I used a black nylon plug from Lowes. Here's a heads up, I originally went shopping for a 1 7/8s or 32 mm plug, as stated above. That is not the correct size for a 2009 XB RS6. I could not find a metal plug, as the size needed is somewhere between 1 inch and 1 1/8 . One inch metal being too small, and 1 1/8 being too big. The Black nylon 1 inch was a perfect fit. |
