| Re: XB2 TRD rear sway bar My Story is similar to AAG's. I got Eibach Pro Kit springs and lived with them for a few weeks before putting on the TRD rear sway bar a couple weeks ago. I totally agree. The springs themselves did a nice job of improving handling, but the sway bar is icing on the cake.
I thought the sway bar would make taking bumps at angles a little rough, but I don't notice it at all. In fact the whole car just feels more solid now. |

| Re: XB2 TRD rear sway bar So do you guys recommend that I order the TRD rear sway bar and the TRD lowering springs, while punting the front strut tower brace, with the initial order of the car? Or do I add these on later? Or should I just get all three while I'm at it? |

| Re: XB2 TRD rear sway bar i would go ahead and get all 3 ... the front brace makes a difference .. but it all depends on your driving style to if you would notice it ... |

| Re: XB2 TRD rear sway bar Great, thanks! I'll definitely go with all three. We're switching out of a BMW X5 so I'd love to have a car that handles well to go along with the utility and gas mileage.
I'm a "track day" enthusiast (driven Le Circuit Mont-Tremblant, New Hampshire Motor Speedway, Pocono, and Lime Rock) so a nice suspension set-up is important to me, but I don't want anything too outrageous for a daily driver. I've made that mistake before with a highly-modded Audi S4. It was only fun at the track. |

| Re: XB2 TRD rear sway bar then you will most likely notice the difference in the front strut tower bar .. it just makes the steering a little more precise ... esp in a spirited turn ... i hate driving mine right now with out it and the rear sway bar ... but will be changing that soon enough ... |

I'm finalizing my accessories this Monday. |

| Re: XB2 TRD rear sway bar If this were going to be my car, I'd definitely go aftermarket. I had H-Sport front/rear sways and Bilstein PSS9 coilovers on my Audi S4 before I got rid of it for a 997 C4S. However, this xB2 is going to be the "family car" which means the wife will be driving it the most. She's not "mod friendly" and if I stick to OEM components, then it's simply how I optioned out the car from the dealer, which is totally acceptable to her. I'm not even sure if I can sneak in the TRD exhaust without the sound driving her mad. In the test drive, she said she loved how quiet the xB2 was. If it comes home with even a modicum of a rumble, I might be in trouble. |

Why? It would have looked like a stock sway bar. The TRD one is really nice because the red makes it stand out. |

| Re: XB2 TRD rear sway bar reading this thread seems useless... unless I missed someone pointing out how a SWAY bar works.
to help spread the correct information in the XB world here goes..
A sway bar is only working while cornering... when you turn the weight of the car is pushed to one side, that makes the springs compress more...
but with a sway bar there, as the spring compresses there is that same force being transmitted through the sway bar to the other side of the can that has much less weight and force on it and force the suspension downward at the smae time so instead of body roll you get more of a slight lean... depending on the thickness you get, is how well your bar performs, but dont go over kill or it could rip out your subframe. Here's a linky for a better description... Sway Bars |
