What shocks for DF210's

My Df210's are on order for my '09 and was wondering if I should change the shocks at the same time or are the stock shocks going to be ok? If you think I should change shocks, what do you suggest?

Re: What shocks for DF210's

You should change them at the same time but there are only the TRD shocks out that I have seen which are way over priced. I am personally waiting for KONI or someone to come out with shocks before changing out my TRD springs for something lower.

Re: What shocks for DF210's

I keep reading about Monroe 5870's for the rear but haven't read much about the front. Also, how long after I do the springs and shocks should I get an alignment?

Re: What shocks for DF210's

I waited about a week to do mine. TRDs are the only ones out for the front that I have seen.

I am also thinking of using these rims as they are the same design that are on my bike. Will be using the 16" rims.

If you look on Scionlife there have been a few people that shocks have blown on them after 10k miles so I would change them both right now to save a headache down the road.

Thanks for the link. Let me know if you come across a thread on blown shocks for a Gen 2.

Re: What shocks for DF210's

Interesting, never heard of anyone with blown shock until I came across this thread. I'm actually waiting for the Tein springs. I know the stock shock won't last long with this aggressive of a drop, but I was going to blow em' and buy better ones. Hope someone comes out with a better shock soon.
