Quesions about lowering

For those who live in states that get snow, how does lowering effect driving in show?

How much do parts & labor typically cost for lowering, I want to lower it a little bit, not to much.

I have an 09 if that matters.

I called my local toyota dealership and they said the parts were $250 for TRD's and the labor was $245 or something like that. So total would be About $500, that is rediculous. That is why I hate dealerships they reem you for labor.

I don't have one, and I would not feel comfortable doing it on my own.
