Cool HOOD LIFT DAMPER-My first project.



Hi Guys,

This is my first Scion xB DIY project. Before you have the installation. Make sure you have the movement test on both dampers. Otherwise, you may not be able to close the hood (I experienced ).

It should take about less than 30 minutes for the installation.

My links have problem. It's been up and down. I'll figure it out and be back soon. Sorry about that.

Are those the ones on ebay for like 50$? If so be forewarned we have had problems with them. THey looked better in my garbage can!

I hope I am wrong and they work for YA! Looks good!

Here is the ones I made. They work awesome.





I used NRG hood struts and then made my own brackets.

I will try and take some pics up close. The top brackets I made. I went looking for some brackets that I could buy and maybe just be able to sell with the kit. Since the top brackets are not out. I will keep everyone posted.

redline tuning is selling thier kit. i ordered mine a little while back and its been working fine. the first few times it would rattle the part of the fender that it bolts to but its been getting smoother as i show it off
