| Re: TRD xB 2nd Gen Supercharger now for sale! Did he say why they won't be producing it?
It looks like they stopped producing them because of the bad economy. Also they stopped producing the TC ones also. I wonder if they will stop producing the Tundra and Tacoma ones.

| Re: TRD xB 2nd Gen Supercharger now for sale! I'll try to find out, but I'm assuming that it's not a reliability issue if they're continuing to offer warranty coverage...didn't realize the tC's was halted too, I guess times are tougher than they thought! |

| Re: TRD xB 2nd Gen Supercharger now for sale! Bad News ladies and gents,
Had the charger installed for 5 weeks and the thing blew out. Warranty is covering it but here's what i know so far and its not good.
The dealership is returning my car to stock, here are my options.
1. Wait 6 weeks for the release of the new FUNCTIONING superchargers
or
2. Receive a full refund of my cash outlay, I paid 4 g's installed by Longo Toyota.
So here's the skinny, do not buy one of the existing chargers, and if you did DO NOT SCREW with it our the warranty will be voided and you will be out money!
I haven't made a decision yet, I'm awaiting more information on the new release, I must say I am greatly dissappointed in this, I really rely on TRD to set the bar on quality and this doesn't say much!. I'll keep you posed on what I find out. |

Should I expect this? I was just going to mention how much better I like the car now that it's got a bit of balls! Before I sing any more praises, I guess I'll wait for your update?!? |

| Re: TRD xB 2nd Gen Supercharger now for sale! Okay, one week down, four to go until my new Supercharger blows-out???
Natzryd, are there any details you left out that might get to the bottom of your experience? Did you get some pulleys and try to squeeze 40 lbs. of boost out of the thing? Were you at the track? Were you outrunning a band of mad cops down the highway at 200mph? There's gotta be more to it than just that! So far the only problem I've run into is that my Avg. MPG display keeps tellin' me I'm gettin' 35 MPG now, but I know that's not right!!!! ME LIKES MY SUPERCHARGER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
By the way, who told you about a new version release? I was told that they'
re done puttin' out the SC cuz noone's buying them!!! |

| Re: TRD xB 2nd Gen Supercharger now for sale! The bearings went out, TRD was very hush, hush
about it. apparently a lot are failing.
I have to say I miss it dearly, so saaaad.
I only drove it normal for 8 weeks and the bearings went bad.
I seems unlikely but true, TRD spend thousands fixing my car, new CPU and two weeks in the shop.
The dealership hooked me up with a TRD cai though, and I got all my money back.
I'll just have to wait a while and find another avenue. Until then I a kick ass sound system, and sound deadening material. I'm just chillin on the box now and waiting to see was comes out next. I do miss that charger though.... |
