Performance Mods

Mods already installed:
TRD Axel-back exhaust
F5 Fujita short air ram intake
NGK iridium spark plugs
Royal Purple oil

Mods on the way bought and paid for:
Agency Power Light Aluminum Crank Pulley
INGALLS STIFFY ENGINE TORQUE DAMPER
WEAPON-R IGNITION EQUALIZER KIT
DME STAINLESS STEEL RACING HEADER

Future buys:
High performance ignition coils (hard to find)
High flow catalytic converter (found 1 for the XA will it still work?)
Turbo?????? too much money

Please list any mods that you think will add more horsepower and torque.
I would post pics of my ride but it won't work.

You waste alot of money on those mods if you plan to go turbo in the future.

You wasted your money with the "ignition stabalizer" and you will waste your money with the "high performance coils". Should have went with a CAI instead of SRI because you are not sucking in hot air instead of colder air. XA cat won't work.

The oil didn't make your car faster or anything. And the spark plugs were a waste also.

Just so you know bolting on a lot of parts isn't going to make your car faster. It can actually hurt more than help. Trying to go fast N/A with bolt-ons isn't going to get you far. Before you spend anymore money do some research to find out actually what helps (dynos not peoples butt dynos).

just get a turbo and port and polish the head and ballance the block.... you can revv higher and have a much smoother power band.... gluck

That will cost you more in the long run then just going turbo charged and the powers on/off not all the time like a turbo/supercharger.

I disagree. The money spent on the mods you currently have would be wasted, but a turbo set-up is the best bang for your buck if you are looking at increasing the performance of your engine.

You've got to be kidding us. All the stuff he has on there ads up to maybe 170 hp at the flywheel. Going turbo would net him over 230 easy. Big difference.

The 230 is wheel hp* so it would be alot more at the crank.

Use the search button and look up header. Also, go on Scion Life and do the same. You should see a bunch of posts on the different header set-ups people have and their comments/opinions as well as whether or not they had CEL issues. I know that the DC header caused CEL with the tC's and you had to either buy the CEL eliminator from Weapon-r or go to autoparts store and buy two antifouling plugs (drill 1/2" hole through one plus, thread the plug with hole onto normal plug, plug normal into o2 bung and then thread the o2 sensor into the antifouler with the hole).

Fujita CAI
NST Lite Crank Pulley
Strup Header
Full eBay exhaust
eBay CEL eliminator, works on and off.

I'm happy and done with the engine bay and performance mods.
