Cleaning the interior: what you use?

I recently got a 2010 xB and I was wondering since the dash is made of two strangely textured materials what you 2gn guys are using? Ps cheap is good.

Big fan of Turtle Wax Interior Ice. Not too cheap, but it helps repel the dust and does not leave the dash shiny.

Re: Cleaning the interior: what you use?

I despise armor all. I use cleaning wipes from Walmart and they do a decent job in my Neon but I was worried about the streakiness in the xB because of the dash textures. I'll look into turtle waxes stuff, I like there buffing compounds.

Re: Cleaning the interior: what you use?

I use Cosco microfibers with Meguiars All Purpose cleaner at 10:1 if its more than dusty. Once I clean it then I normally use Chemical Guys interior dressing, or one of the Meguiars dressings on a microfiber. Make sure to wipe off excess dressing. Meguiars Natural Shine is cheap and leaves a nice clean 'new' not greasy look to the plastic.

303 protectant is also another good dressing but its harder to find locally. Certain Kragens carry it. It last allot longer than the others I have mentioned but doesn't give as much gloss.

Spray it on your microfiber not your dash. Then you don't get it all over your windows.

You can also use it on the rubber door moldings and hoses under the hood.

Re: Cleaning the interior: what you use?

Yeah the application is pretty standard stuff, it was the weird textures and materials in the interior that concerned me. Didn't want it streaky or "assy" looking or to dry out. Thanks for all the help.

Simple green and microfiber towels, it takes care of pretty much everything

I hope your diluting the simple green. It can damage plastics along with metals. You still need to use a dressing to protect it from the sun.

Re: Cleaning the interior: what you use?

1:8 cut of simple green works perfect, and a light coating of Meguiars Natural Shine.
