| Re: Borla Dual Exhaust Decent price for a bolt on exhaust. Cheaper than a custom setup it would seem. Thanks for the heads up. Just want to know what it sounds like now. |

But what about a visual emissions check...if they know there should be a muffler there wont they bock at the lack of one? |

Im not sure with the BORLA system. I just know about the Magnaflow |

I my opinion that's the only way to go. Pick out whatever muffler, tips, resonator, pipe size you want, and have them go to town with it. You then don't have to pay extra for the name of a system, and wait for someone to release an entire system. It's the only way I'll go with any car I own. | I've always done the same with all of my rides,(except my Maxima),it just did'nt seem right and I could enjoy the stereo more when the windows are down. I had a 97 Ford Exploder 2 door before it and had my local muffler shop build a catback dual exhaust with a Flowmaster 40 series muffler, mandrel bent tubing, hangers and 3 1/2 X 18 inch tips for like $250-275. It was pretty loud but not too annoying, sounded sweet and done in about an hour. |

| Re: Borla Dual Exhaust I broke down and ordered the Borla Dual on Tuesday from www.trdsparks.com . I shipped to my work with FedEx commercial. Shipping was just under 10 bucks and took two days to get here. I installled it in 1.5 hours laying on a concrete floor with no help or a lift. It was cramped at times! Its not exactly straight tho, needs some tweaking to get it lined up right. Waiting on time and weather.. etc. etc.. for that, but for now, its on and Im almost completely happy with it
So far it sounds great, I need to let someone drive it so I can hear it from outside the vehicle. Gives it a low growl and not too tinny from what I can hear from inside.
Heres a quick clip for ya.... I also have the AEM CAI, so Im not sure how much of that you are hearing in the clip, the cai is pretty loud by itself.

| Re: Borla Dual Exhaust it's about time someone put up a clip...thanks sooo much!!! are you happy with the sound? personally, i like the sound deep and throaty, but i don't know how much you'll get with a 4 cyl., and i'm not sure if the video does the exhaust justice. | Re: Borla Dual Exhaust From the sound of the vid, that thing is way to weed whacker sounding for me. You might consider throwing a resonator in there somewhere to take some of the rasp out. I had a custom 2.5 inch system on my 4 banger honda and, before i put in an 11" vibrant resonator, it had a similar sound to what you posted. After the resonator though, it sounded great, quite a bit deeper. |

| Re: Borla Dual Exhaust it sounds ok to me from inside. you also have to consider the fact that i was using a sony point and shoot camera in video mode. the mic isnt going to do it justice.
it does have a deeper sound to it at idle and when its actually moving.
sorry i cant take a decent shot of it moving, kinda hard to do in a one man show. |

| Re: Borla Dual Exhaust just out of curiousity....does the borla dual exhaust clear the Five-Axis Lip kit? I am seriously looking and purchasing this kit...but the only thing holding me back is if it clears the openings in the lip kit.
Does anyone know?
Thanks! |

| Re: Borla Dual Exhaust I installed the borla catback along with strup header and k&n short intake. It is not that loud. I was told 50 state legal. It is a little noisy on quick acceleration but real quiet at higher speeds and cruising. I am very happy with the product and the install was cake. |
