Sorry for the dumb "girly" question, but does doing this oil change require getting underneath the car for the oil filter?

I might attempt my own.

I used to do my own oil changes when I had my 650 Yamaha Seca II

Yes you'd have to get under the car to drain the oil and change the oil filter. If you haven't had your first oil change its going to be a pain to get the original oil filter off so your going to need a oil filter wrech to loosen it up.
