Re: What was your first mod for the xB?

First thing i did was take the front plate off...and it already had the xB logo gone and the 18" TRDs. Oh and I put a GReddy plate frame on the back. Those were both at like 10 PM the night we brought it home. Since then I have done a lot of little cheap things.

Like just today, I took and old belt buckel and mooded it to fit as my new grille logo. I will have to post pick sometime.

Re: What was your first mod for the xB?

1st mod on any new car I buy is removing the dealer license plate frames.

1st addition to the car was my Proclip phone cradle. Then came the tint. Next week the real fun begins! Almost $8k worth of stuff is getting installed.

Re: What was your first mod for the xB?

My first mod was dealer installed (18" TRD Wheels). The first modding I did was a small set: billet grille, TRD shift knob, TRD Japan strut bar, and smoked tail lights.

Re: What was your first mod for the xB?

Shift knob!
-I don't like the feel of the stock one. I am in the habit of using the top of the knob and the stock one "digs" into my palm.

Eventually, I plan to get a nicer one, but here is my $15 one:

I like the round "ball" look. I am now thinking of getting another and repainting it a "custom" (non-8-Ball) colour.
I took an insert somewhat smaller than the shaft and tapped it to make a threaded insert. Now, it screws on and off. I also switched out the crappy hexes (which only go into the insert plastic) for nicer silver ones that are less obvious. I probably should just glue it in with E6000. If I make another from an 8-Ball knob, that is what I will do.
