| Soon to be xB2 owner, just saying hi Hi. I was looking for some good sites about the xB, and I feel I may have stumbled upon one of the best here. Reading through the forums here, you guys remind me of the forum was on for my Scion tC: friendly, helpful, tolerant (three qualities you don't often find on the Internet, lol). Anyway, I'll be buying one in Blackberry Crush Metallic, with the spoiler, fog lights (still debating), door sills and the footwell and cupholder illumination, the premium sound, and all the TRD parts currently offered. Does anyone have any recommendations on parts I should or shouldn't be getting from the factory? In my time with my tC, I've not done much as far as modding (only tints, an aftermarket grille, taillights, and a stereo), so I'm not a hugely experienced modder, but I'm willing to learn.
I look forward to being part of the site, and thanks in advance for your responses! |

| Re: Soon to be xB2 owner, just saying hi First off, welcome to the family!
The choice of dealer mods to get is not only which mods, but how to pay for 'em. If you can afford to get the base vehicle, then buy the options separately so they aren't financed for five years or whatever, you can be money ahead.
If you feel confident doing much of the work yourself, there are dealers that will sell you the options, on-line, minus the installation, for even less...
You realize, of course, that as soon as you get your new xB2, you MUST post pics...
Take care, |

| Re: Soon to be xB2 owner, just saying hi Thank you for the advice. As far as the mechanicals go, I'm going to have those installed at the dealer, since that's not really my forte. However, I see your point about getting them separately. No reason to pay more interest than necessary. I'll look into that. Those few mods on my tC I did myself, so I think I could probably handle it for most basic things.
And thank you for the warm welcome! |

| Re: Soon to be xB2 owner, just saying hi OMG! I finally got it! Lots of stuff already equipped. The wait was good for the car, bad for my bank account, as I had plenty of time to keep going to the dealer and saying "Is it in yet? No? Okay. Oh hey. While I'm here, could you add x to the list? Kthxbye."
I will take tons of pictures and post them tomorrow. Bye the time I was done with paperwork and whatnot today, it was already dark out, and rather late. |

| Re: Soon to be xB2 owner, just saying hi I had the leather done through the dealer, but it's not them directly. They go through an aftermarket upholstery place. It was $1400, which is probably a bit pricey, but it was worth it for the convenience of it, and I'm really impressed with the quality. |

| Re: Soon to be xB2 owner, just saying hi For now I'm sticking with the factory 16's, but I may upgrade them down the road. It's just a matter of saving up and deciding what style and size I want to go with. In the meantime, I've got other things in mind. |

| Re: Soon to be xB2 owner, just saying hi LOL! Thanks...I think...
I also had the windows tinted 20% all around this past weekend, and bought some surprisingly quality lightly smoked license plate covers, but foolishly did not take pictures. I'll take some this weekend and post them up. I would take them sooner, but it's dark when I leave the house for work in the morning, and it's dark when I get home... |
