Installing new head unit

Im gonna be getting a new navi head unit (not the toyota pioneer one) and dont really want to pay to get it put it. is there a DIY of how to install one? i hear the only hard part is connecting the cable that hooks up to the e brake

Just bypass the wire so you can use it while driving **please note playing a video in the view of the driver is illegal** But all you do is hook it directly to a 12V power source. I did it in my Intrepid and it made things a million times easier because all you have to do is plug n' play. The whole install in the Scions though is very simple so you shouldn't have any issues with it and if you do then you know where to go to get help.

yea im most liekly going to get rid of the stock head unit. but i have to wait a few weeks to get paid before i get the new one put in
