Hi i am looking to get one of the Hvic d3 systems and i need to know exactly what i need to hook it up to my car. What do i need to set up the steering controls and will the Ipod adapter still work?

Never heard of hvic-d3 might want to try searching for avic-d3 its been discussed alot already

thats what i meant was what u just said, yeah ive seen alot about it but nothing thats sas exactly what u need to do it.

with most aftermarkets you do have to buy the accessories.. as put by manufacturer . some radios have the added option of the sterring controls aswell as the ipod adapter kit. its best to find a radio that already is ipod interactive and just haver to buy the steering add-ons ./.sorry for mistypes and spelling late nite

You need Pioneer's Ipod controller, Metra dash kit along with wire harness then you need the Pac steering wheel controller.

However the Avic-D3 is going on clearance (discontinued model) so I hope you got it cheap.

Wish ya luck on getting a new Avic-d3 since pioneer not producing them any more u might find some online if ur lucky tho

You can find them online all day for 500 dollars. I'd just save for a new better navigation though.
