| Re: Spark Plugs To be honest i didn't like the NGK Iridiums. In my opinion they aren't that great. The next time I change my plugs I will try the bosche iridiums with 4 electrodes and see how that is. |

yeah I noticed a HUGE difference when going from dino oil to Mobil 1. sooo much of a smoother idle.
Seriously guys... just get the stock replacement. NGK brand. we have a 100 HP box and it doesnt ROCK. we dont have high compression, we dont have high HP, and most of us arent turboed, no need for colder plugs.
Platinum plugs and iridium plugs should come pregapped for your specific tolerances... the electrode is fragile and if you chip the plat or irid coating on it the plug is no good. |

| Re: Spark Plugs tell that to NGK... They said Pre-Gapped i checked the gap and they were at .52 when they should have been, i believe it was like .30 something. Don't remember i just remember it being a biznatch to get back to the required gapping. |

| Re: Spark Plugs Just FYI, I think it was already mentioned by someone earlier, but you should always check the gap on new plugs. Just because they say they are pre-gapped, doesn't mean that they are correct. It's been my experience to have at least 1 out of 4 plugs to be out of spec straight out of the box. |

| Re: Spark Plugs USDM xB uses A .032 gap, not a .32. I myself use OEM Toyota Denso Iridiums (Toyota P/N 90080-91184 & Denso P/N SK16R11) which are gapped at .044 I did this because the JDM xB uses this gap, thats the Gap that the motor was originally designed for, I tried it out to see if it helps with my rough idle and it did, and I'm happy with it.
Bosch has caused a lot of Japanese cars I know of personally to fail smog here in So. Cal. when equipped with Bosch parts, So I do not use Bosch parts in Japanese cars. I only use Denso or NGK. Also, having more than one ground electrode is useless since electricity follows the path of least resistance, those 3 extra ground electrodes are just a marketing gimmick. |
