Re: Scion xB reliability - how does it compare?

I have a 2006 xB. Never been in the shop with almost 65K miles. Maintenance has been a breeze.

Re: Scion xB reliability - how does it compare?

We have updated results for the xB to include owner experiences through March 2009. In terms of successful repair trips per 100 cars per year:

2006: 7, better than average

2005: 12, better than average, small sample size

A big thank you to everyone who has been helping. We'll have further updates in August and November. With more participants, we could provide more precise information and cover all model years.

Re: Scion xB reliability - how does it compare?

I bought mine new in Jan, 2005.. It now has 99,488 miles. Literally not one problem. No shop visits. Oil changed every 5k, spark plugs changed at 75k. It even still smells nice inside. The only thing I would change is I wish it had more than one power outlet.

Re: Scion xB reliability - how does it compare?

We have updated results for the xB to include owner experiences through June 2009. In terms of successful repair trips per 100 cars per year:

2006: 24

2005: 28, but small sample size

Everyone who has been helping, thanks, I certainly appreciate it. We'll have further updates in November and February. With more participants, we could provide more precise information and cover all model years.
