New bumper and fender for $154?

I have been calling around places today for a new bumper and fender. I came across a place called LKQ here in AZ that will sell me both a new bumper and fender, both aftermarket and not painted, for $154. This sounds cheap to me. He says they fit the way they are supposed to, but I am skeptical. Maybe getting the parts painted will be the most expensive part of this. What do you guys think?

Sounds way too cheap. Was this for the upper bumper or just the front lip? Fiberglass or ABS plastic? And yes, paint will cost you.

Re: New bumper and fender for $154?

FWIW, the dealer quoted me $146 for just the bumper (unpainted) just yesterday. $154 is very cheap, but yes, I'd expect paint to be more expensive than the part itself.

Speaking of bumpers and such, does anyone here happen to know if the brackets connecting the impact bar on the rear inner bumper are welded or bolted?

yeah the dealer quoted me 181 today for just the bumper. I am assuming this is cheaper because it is after market.

Re: New bumper and fender for $154?

I pulled the OEM fender off twice today and had to bend it a little by hand in few places to make it fit perfect. Nothing major though. Stay away from aftermarket body parts if you can.

What about body parts from TradeMotion (Sparks Toyota/Scion)? Are these genuine Scion parts and will they fit like they are supposed to?

Re: New bumper and fender for $154?

That says it's a demo website, not a real parts source.
I'd buy a new bumper from the dealer and look for TCM fender from the dismantler (should be about $150). May be even find a decent bumper there too, so you dont have to paint it.

Re: New bumper and fender for $154?

Yeah, Sparks is a real dealership so the parts should be OEM. Shipping body parts (especially fenders and other steel parts) is iffy though. Be sure to insure if you do that.

What you are hearing about the paint is true though. You should expect to pay somewhere between $300 and $400 to paint both of those parts.

I'm looking for a new front lip for my 05' cha-ching$$$$$$$$$$ cheapest one i found so far is 328 bucks unpainted. ouch! Yah I love the car but if you have big rims and lower it your looking at alot of up-keep. It just sucks knowing every time i dust the front lip its gonna cost me 600-700 bucks to straighten it out.
