| Woodgrain dash! Here are some pictures of my dash after I had pieces of it woodgrained. I had my vendor use a process called hydro imaging.
You have seen this process before from other vendors. It's a process where film is laid out over a huge tank of water and parts are dipped through it to apply the pattern to the part.
There are several forms of woodgrain, carbon fiber, metals, and camo to chose from.
As I get more of my interior done I'll post more pics, but here are some for starters.
Please contact me if you have questions.

| Re: Woodgrain dash! Wow! That came out really well. Do you have the equipment to do that at work or do you do it on the side. If it's not your work that's an excellent home job. |

Thanks for the compliments.
If you look close, to set off the patterns even more I semi-glossed the brushed aluminum and high glossed the wood.

| Re: Woodgrain dash! I learned the process from the same people that taught Patterntek, but then I played with processes and paints and whatnot to bring out the patterns and make them look real.
Here is a compairison shot. The big sample on the bottom is how most places would lay down a burl, then the small sample on the top is how I lay down my burl.
See how my sample looks richer. |

J/K, looking forward to seeing the rest of your stuff, especially the door sills. Any idea how they will hold up to everyday wear and tear? |
