| Rhino Line? I'm in the process of getting a '04 xB and was wondering for my first project would it be sick to take out the carpet/lining and rhino line all of the sucker? I have been really wanting to do it to a vehicle for some time.
thoughts/opinions welcome.
great site! |

| Re: Rhino Line? this would be really good for sound damping. So if you end up not liking it, you can just pilut the carpets back in, and have a quieter ride, and warmer in the winter. May also be proven to make the floor pans last 10 years down the road when rust starts to show. |

| Re: Rhino Line? well i needto do the math cause i think rhino lining the floor is a great idea, the local line-x place is $7 per square foot of material and $50 an hr. this is definatly something i would invest in, in my box especially for some sound damping |

| Re: Rhino Line? I've seen a few responses on here stating, just inside, inside and out etc.
Depending on the size of the truck bed, you are looking at a gain of 45 and 65 lbs. An average small truck(51sq ft) to get ~1/8in thick coverage takes ~3-5 gal.
Not real sure what thickness is required for sound deadening with that material, but I think it would be thicker than 1/8th of an inch.
Given the massive area inside our cavernous boxes, you probably have more than 50sq ft.
So you're looking at a lot of weight and a lot of money.
This is just from research I did and some friends who have made "tanks" with rhino liner.
