| Re: Project Gutted: xBCreep Interior Progress Thread So far I've got about 42sq ft down. Still have to do the front half of the driver foot well, rear hatch from the where the back seat ends to the tail, wheel wells, and some small patch pieces here and there. I'm guessing I'll need another 1 to 1-1/2 sheets putting the grand total close to 60 sq ft.
Just spent about 4 hours finishing up installing the Oznium Inferno underbody light kit and cleaning up the wires. Everything is ran cleanly in wire looms and a million zip ties used. I've never seen a kit with so much extra wire length. Swear you can hook up a 30 foot motorhome with that kit and have enough wire. Sucky part is that the tubes are pre-wired with ethernet cable connectors/wire, shortening them isn't really an option. |

| Re: Project Gutted: xBCreep Interior Progress Thread Goto a computer store they have a tool to crimp on your own ethernet cable ends. This makes it possible to shorten your wires. |

| Re: Project Gutted: xBCreep Interior Progress Thread I used eD eDead v1SE² it's a 60 mil butyl with an aluminium backing it's a fantastic product I have used just about everything else and this is as good if not better than the other butyl products and costs half the price.
I also just got my raamaat ensolite in for the rest of the install I have a gang of cables to run tomorrow so I'll probably finish up my deadening then. |

I know when it first came out it was asphault based and there was major problems with sticking, but since the upgrade to butyl things have gotten better. Did you actually measure the material? Just curious cause a lot of sources say they inflate their specs. Just curious on what actual users say.
Good luck...the ensolite should help out! |

| Re: Project Gutted: xBCreep Interior Progress Thread heheh....long freakin day!! Spent about 10 hours finishing everything up and putting everything back together. To tired to post pics tonight, but I've got a few to throw up tomorrow. Pain in the butt re-installing everything! The barriers thickness (which is about an 1/4 in. uncompressed) threw off ALL the mounting holes for the panels/seats. Had to do some slight trimming of holes to re-align. FYI...those back seat bolts that screw into the wheel well are HELL to get back in. All that's left to put back is the front seats and the dash. |

| Re: Project Gutted: xBCreep Interior Progress Thread Ok..............updates!!! Spent all day/night Saturday getting everything back together before nationals. Still have a little bit of sealing though. Since I'm replacing all the cathodes from under the seats/dash with led flexstrips, I'll finish sealing everything when that bridge comes. Of course nothing fit like it originally did before the deadening, but nothing a little cut and trim can't fix. Some pics:
VB3.5
VB4.5
Rear Wheel Well
Floor Pan
Inferno Light Kit ECU (mounted in dash on passenger side wall)
Still have the doors and the area around the hatch speakers to do, but that'll have to wait. I'm broke and over the deadening thing for a few weeks . Was it worth the week and a half of labor and headaches of making everything fit right again? ummmm...not really . It did lower the exhaust sound in the cabin, but didn't do as much as I hoped for. Hopefully doing the doors I'll hear a bigger difference than with the floor. Oh well....it'll be all good once the system goes in.
Toup: Wish I had a rabbit in a hat with a bat and a six-four Impala.

I forgot to throw up this pic. Installed these a few weeks ago, and they're slowly becoming my new favorite part. They'll flow nicely once the dash gets its treatment. |
