Scion xB Interior There's no arguing that there's plenty of room inside the Scion xB interior. Which is why the Scion xB interior deserves an entire forum of it's own. Here you can discuss any customizing you have done to the interior of your Scion xB.

Installed a bb dash

OK now first i had gotten this with the thought of eventually going full RHD but with other projects and wanting a second car now i knew it wasnt gonna happen so i decided to just work on this and get it to fit in my car any way. on to the pics
here just thrown in no modding of it yet

it doesnt line up. well thats a big duhhhhh

some modding done to make the console fit

annnnnnnnnd the bad side lol

now another issue is the speedo. the wiring is VERY different from the 2.

so here what i'll be doing.
already swapped the speedo face

i'll be cutting it into 2 pieces just to the right of the speedo and swapping which side each piece is on. in order to do that i will need to extent these wires.

i also took the clock outa the jdm speedo piece and may end up wiring that some where too

all the gaps will be covered by a dash mat that will match the seat covers im having made. so now i know you're saying why did i do this if im just covering it up. well cuz i can rofl. also i had it just chillin in my garage for nearly a year now and got sick of seeing it there lol. secondly i can run the jdm dash storage compartment (i'll find a pic later) and because now the speedo is flipped and thats uber jdm yo. lol naw basically when it comes down to it i was bored and wanted to mod. i'll post updates as i work on it, im clearly not done yet lol

You will have problem with the angle of the gauges. The gauge will be facing more on the front passenger.

BTW, you can sell me your dashboard if you dont need it anymore.

Good stuff. Did you just cut the passender side to get the console to line up?

No, you're gonna ship it to me so I can sand it smooth, then paint it black.

Don't make me hurt you.

Re: Installed a bb dash

nicely done! too bad for that part of the console not fitting - whats the deal with that you even have the southshore/bB console to . . .I guess its a mounting difference

Re: Installed a bb dash

If you measure our dash, our console is not centered exactly. In Japan is off center to the opposite side.

Also, the southshore console is the pearlescent white console, which James does not have in his car.

Re: Installed a bb dash

It would fit in the JDM car. Like I said our console is offcenter. The reason one side looks like it fits is because he used a dremel to trim some to make it fit. My guess is about 2 or 3 inches...

Re: Installed a bb dash

Yeah. Basically if our dash is 2 inches off center to the left.. The JDM dash is 2 inches off center to the right. Resulting in the 4 inch difference total. So he just trimmed one side, and now has to fill the other side...

im sorry - i don't mean to be an ass (though clearly i was) i just want to know what going on - i don't start shit, i wouldn't want to its pointless, especially on the interwebz
