do you think it would be at all possible to cut the mounting brackets and lower them so that you could keep the rails? or would it just but wiser to cut the brackets and drill and tap a whole in the floor or maybe weld a bolt to the underside to thread into? I want to do this but want to be able to slide the seats.

Hmm i wonder if that is the squirell that lives around the corner from me and EViLDAVE. i will have to call and go takes a looksie if it is.

I keep the sliders on my seats and fab'd some mounts for them using existing holes. I used the fornt four under the carpet, and the ones that were initially used for the seat belt buckles.

The mounts themselves are 1x1 steel square channel.

And yes, I'm in Tracy.
