Wiring in new foglights

Can any one tell me were to get an ignition wire for the switch that you put in right over the ashtray to run the fog lights?
I pick up a set on eBay but as you know you don’t always get instructions with what you buy. I don’t want to tap into the wrong wire and have more problems... so any help would be nice Thanks

You don't want to use preinstalled harness for the factory fogs?
Info on ignition source, etc here: Cup holder LEDS and parking/headlights power...

Re: Wiring in new foglights

When you need a power source the best way is not to tap wires but take it from the fuse box. That's what i meant by posting that link. I found better pics here: DIY:Hardwiring a Radar Detector Look at post #6 in this thread- Eric gives you great details on fuse box layout and use of the tap.

Re: Wiring in new foglights

That is a really good Idea, I’m starting on it today so I’m going to go pick up a fuse tap I don’t mind running a longer wire if it will do the job right. Thanks PCH for all you help I will be posting pics of all my work later.
