Re: Wally-World-Fogs-SICK!

^^yes, you have to pull the bumper out in order to do it without hassle. once you do that, it's pretty easy. it's held in with two clips, they're pretty tough but you gotta be on the back side to get them out.

you would have been better off getting yellow based fogs though. the yellow light doesn't make fog and rain luminescent so you see the road more where as more white and blue-ish colors will soak into fog and rain and doesn't let you see as much of the road as you could if you had yellow based lights.

Re: Wally-World-Fogs-SICK!

yep, 3000k is the one to go with. that JDM yellow is perfect for the job.

as soon as i get my new Denso ballasts, i'll get a good shot of the setup i have now. the faded light production of the stock halogens in this fog here is risky to drive around with. i find my self going outside and unpluging my headlights so that only my fogs are on *i have them wired into the stock fog light relay so they only come on with the headlights*.

this season brings ALOT of fog in my area... so heavy that driving any faster than 35mph is EXTREMELY dangerous due to the 10-25 foot visibility range rating of the fog. i've had two sets of aftermarket fogs, the first was a white light producing set, those did jack crap... the second set is what i have now and HOLY damn they help out ALOT.

the final setup goal is 8000K beams and 3000K fogs. it looks SICK!

Re: Wally-World-Fogs-SICK!

so u gotta get a whole HID kit just for the fog lights? that would be tight, but wouldn't the HID's cost more than the actual fog lights? or r u guys just using the bulb itself? i'm confused

Re: Wally-World-Fogs-SICK!

i just replaced my Wally fogs with some Pilots

and here's why...

one - when sitting still for longer than 10-15 minutes, the wally fogs begin to get so hot that you start to smell hot plastic and if yo look closely enough, you see smoke from the light housings...

two - the glass lens... my biggest fear was a rock hitting it and having glass shards going through my tires... WELL as i replaced the with the pilot fogs, guess what... the passenger side wally fog lens was cracked i several areas with corresponding rock impact marks on the glass...

Re: Wally-World-Fogs-SICK!

haha, So I was at wal mart today thinking about picking these up... But before I did, I was like, eh. I'll check the thread on club xb later then make up my mind...

And wouldn't you know it, the thread was brought back to life again today. lol.

Anyhow, I am going to go to pep boys and see what they have, but I am leaning towards rocking some cheap-o fogs. Just need something else to finish off the front end. If I wasn't missing my grill pieces it would be find how it is for me... But I gotta fill the holes. (yes, that IS what she said)

they look like this, disregard the amount of glare in the photos. my crappy camera makes it look like i have glare beyond belief.

I say don't buy them right now or anythingelse for awhile. Everytime you fell the urge to buy something put that amount of money in a shoebox that way you'll have enuf save and should be able to make it to Boxed.

Get the pilots they look like the wally world models but come in yellow. I'll update this post with a part# once I'm able to locate it. The fitment is great and the only "hacking" that needs to be done is drilling the mounting hole. I paid $18 for mine and bought them at Joe's.

If anyone wants amber Harbor Freight carries a set in that color.
