Power Problems

So not too long ago I hooked up a new head unit and too amp's one to power my door speakers and 1 to power my 1 12in subwoofer. Since then I have had problems with power and I dont know what to do. I still have the stock battery so I dont know if that is a problem. Any advice would be nice!

Re: Power Problems

what guage is your main power wire running to the amps?

also... did you actually run new wires to each speaker or just tap into the existing ones in the dash?

and....

when does this happen? when it is turned up loud or just kinda when ever??

I dont remember what gauge we used for the Sub and the speakers were hooked up at a shop a few days later. it usually happens when the volume is turned up though.

Re: Power Problems

what i can see..... is that when it is turned up to loud the battery can not put out enough power to match what is being asked.

i think a bigger batter would help.

i recommend a kinetik click here

Re: Power Problems

i would say the 1200 or 1400 they are more powerfull than you could imagine, i have the 2000 and i can BLAST my system wich includes a 12w6 500/1 a nintendo wii and a 24" lcd for approx 6 hours

a rule of thumb is to make life easier just get the biggest that will fit in the stock location.

Re: Power Problems

haha I will agree with you there. I am not good with the electrical stuff so I just want to ask as many questions before I go buy.
