| LEDs in The Stock Headlights I recently purchased some single pre-wired LEDs from Oznium. I wanted to use them to make my headlights light up. Does anyone know of any DIY's on how to install them? I've been looking around and have not been able to find one.
I want them to look kinda like this one, but with green instead. |

| Re: LEDs in The Stock Headlights Wire up the leds to a switch, (Install a powered switch if you dont have one..) pop off the rubber grommet that holds the stock light, from there you can either slice a tiny hole in the rubber & feed the led through & reinstall, or you can simply put the led wire through the side of the grommets hole & reinstall, the rubber grommet will hold it in place. Flip the switch.. VIOLA>>> you got green..
This is the simple simple version..... of course it takes some existing knowledge of electrical & running wires & switches. Black to Black, Red To Red.
Oh yeah.... and it is always best to disconnect the battery terminals under the hood as not to inadvertently electrocute yourself.
Hope this helps. |

| Re: LEDs in The Stock Headlights you could, but you may get unkind look from the police,m especially if you are going red or blue. At least here in Cali, they frown on things like that. I personally would run a separate switch so you have the option to turn em off when the Popo are looking your way, but to each their own... It is only illegal if you get caught. |

| Re: LEDs in The Stock Headlights Here is a link to my thread I did quite a while back. I cleared out my headlights and installed LED's in them. It's actually pretty easy and there is a hole in the headlights already that an LED will fit in. http://www.clubxb.com/forums/f59/106...stalled-led-s/
hope that helps. |

| Re: LEDs in The Stock Headlights Installing the actual LED is simple, but wiring it can be a hassle. I wired mine into the engine compartment cathodes cuz they were already there and the wires ran right above the headlights. I try to get a pic if it stops raining here. |

| Looks good! BTW if you want to make them brighter later on you might want to switch to prewired superflux LEDs, they're about 4x as bright |
