| Re: HID - Bi-Xenon help ok, so going to hidextra's site...the bulbs they show as replacements do not work the same as mine. My kit also says 12v...24v on the backside as well
i watched that before I did the install, the only difference I see is the that his harness has grounds at the balast and mine does not. That appears to be the main difference in the two and the diagram referenced by the mfg for install.
Guess all I can do is wit till tomorrow am and call them.

| Re: HID - Bi-Xenon help i was hoping the same thing...too bad that didn't work out...
so I got a hold of hidextra's tech guy, tried a few things and determined that the wiring harness was bad - they sent a new one out - will update when it gets here. I was so looking forward to getting these in today. I cleared the headlights last night so I had the bumber off and heads out - made accessing a lot easier. oh well.
I am hopeful that its just the harness, its really gonna suck if I get the new harness and they still don't work!!!

| Re: HID - Bi-Xenon help your ballasts shouldn't have a ground that you need to worry about. only the switching harness that controls the hi/lo beam switching has grounds on each end near the points that you connect the ballasts to. those you can easily just bolt to the two top core suport points on the top core suport piece. |

| Re: HID - Bi-Xenon help there's a couple of round teethed adjusters on the back of the headlight housing that you use a philips head screw driver on to move clockwise or counter clockwise. this will adjust the lights vertically up or down. |

| Re: HID - Bi-Xenon help if you're running sonars, the outter lights are going to be your low beam and your inner lights are going to be your highbeam. this kind of setup though will more than likely not last though because our headlight relay isn't setup for a dual light operation and will cause damage to HID ballasts when you turn your highbeams on over time without the proper addon relay.
you could simply open the headlight up and replace the low beam lights or highbeam lights for Bi-xenon projectors and get a Bi-xenon harness addon for low/high beam operation without the worry of having any blown ballasts, bulbs or burnt wires. the left over low or high beam you didn't replace can be used for whatever you want with it's on switch on the dash or what have you and the setup would be much more reliable. |
